Macromedia Studio MX Teacher Training for San Andres High SchoolThis aspect of the Teacher Workshop will explore Web site management and design. Teachers will develop Web pages that will be integrated into a variety of Web interface strategies. Topics include HTML, page layout, tables, links, images, file formats, and site management, through the use of Macromedia Studio MX software, primarily focusing on Dreamweaver MX and Fireworks MX. The Phases of Web Site Management are centralized in five basic areas; planning, research, development, refinement and implementation. These five areas work as organizational frameworks for instruction and learning, Web site development and implementation, student progress and presentation. The scope and sequence of the content area matches the phases and allows for the integration of Macromedia Dreamweaver MX for concept mapping, word processing, Web browsing, HTML code editing and file transferring. The goal is to embed the use of the educational technology within a task of developing a Web Site using Dreamweaver MX and the tools of the Internet. Macromedia Studio MX is a series of full-featured Web-design tools used by beginning and professional Web designers. Studio MX provides professional functionality for every aspect of web development, all in one integrated package. Developers can build websites and applications with Dreamweaver, create interactive content with Flash, generate web graphics with Fireworks, and incorporate vector graphics with FreeHand. Dreamweaver MX can be used in the design view, HTML code view or the split view, which allows the developer to see both the code and the document at the same time. The developer also has the ability to create and manage individual or multiple sites within Dreamweaver as well as define and maintain both local and remote Web pages through the Site Manager. |
